We are currently seeking a highly-motivated RESPITE SUPPORT WORKER to
join our team in TEACH SAOIRSE CHILDREN?S RESIDENTIAL RESPITE HOUSE,
NENAGH, CO TIPPERARY

CONTRACT TYPE: 2 x Full time permanent contracts.

CONTRACT HOURS: **Apply on the website** Hours per week

OVERVIEW OF THE POST:

To provide respite to families of children with disabilities. The
respite support service will be coordinated by Residential Respite
Manager, who will prioritize families to be involved in the service,
who agrees with each family the type and level of support to be
provided. The Respite Support worker will be supervised by and work
closely with the Residential Respite Manager. In order to provide a
flexible respite support service, the Respite Support Worker will be
required to do sleepovers and work during evenings and weekends

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

_ESSENTIAL CRITERIA_

* Minimum QQI Level 5 Childcare course to include module on special
needs(total 8 modules) or Special Needs equivalent course
* 1 Years? experience of working with children with additional
needs.
* Full clean driving license

_DESIRABLE CRITERIA_

* Up to date training in Manual Handling, First Aid, Children First,
ABA Programme, PECS and LAMH, Infection control, PPE
